Question: Describe a problem this product solves. What is its value?

Answer: PLAN-R solves the problem of integrated project time management, including complex projects with various activities, which enables timely and informed management decisions. The proprietary methodology and unique data model implemented in PLAN-R allows you to automatically create an integrated project schedule and identify scheduling conflicts (collisions), thereby synchronizing all activities on the project. Project portfolio management with a built-in analytics system, a module for monitoring and forecasting the milestones, a tool for generating and issuing weekly and daily tasks with uploading of actual data, a mechanism for calculating the project's scheduled dates – all this allows for an end-to-end process of planning and monitoring project deadlines at all management levels on a single-window basis. The architecture of the web application does not require the installation of special software, and the system can be accessed via a browser from any network-connected device.

 

Question: Describe the potential of the market where your product can be sold. Who are your competitors?

Answer: The market potential is high, and includes both industrial companies implementing complex capital construction projects in any sector, and medium and small companies that need an alternative to traditional, often complex and expensive, project time management systems. There are no direct competitors that have the full functionality of PLAN-R on the market. Software products that partially overlap with PLAN-R's functionality include Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Bentley Synchro, Spider Project (working with schedules), IS Unified Time Schedule (linking local schedules through a linking code and indexing conflicts, a Rosatom product).

 

Question: What is your advantage over your competitors?

Answer: No other industrial scheduling system combines functions of multi-level planning and project schedule control. This enables PLAN-R to replace several software products with a single package solution, and our tool for configuring management levels does not require consumers to perform customized improvements for the business processes of the enterprise. PLAN-R can be used both as a tool for creating schedules, and a top-level add-on over various corporate systems of the enterprise (it supports data integration in the formats of almost all scheduling systems if they have already been implemented at the enterprise, as well as in the MS Excel format as the most universal format for downloading data from most corporate systems). Capability to process and link schedules with more than 100 thousand activities. A mechanism for building a critical path for individual project milestones and identifying the source of deviation. A built-in tool for planning activities in the context of physical quantities of work with daily details, downloading customized forms of weekly and daily tasks, and uploading actual data. The PLAN-R software package is registered in the State Register of Computer Programs (Certificate No 2020661908 dated 2 October 2020); a number of scientific articles on the PLAN-R methodology and functionality have been published with citations in the Scopus and RSCI databases.

 

Question: Have you already had any implementations? Where and what are their results?

Answer: In 2020, we implemented two income-generating projects at the startup stage:
* project for implementing a customized PLAN-R solution for large mining companies (October–December 2020);
* project for implementing the basic PLAN-R solution for the construction of a multifunctional museum complex (December 2020 – February 2021)..

This article looks at the predictive analysis of slips in project milestones during the implementation of EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contracts for complex engineering facilities when the project manager is making management decisions. The article makes a strong case for improving the effectiveness of assessing the impact of various types of "supporting" activities on the project milestones. We propose an original method of applying "affecting constraints" to the activities in the project's upper-level master schedule and an assessment of the impact the activities in other "supporting" schedules have on it.
